My wife was drawn to her Mach (which was up on a lift at a colo spgs Chevy dealer) by the color.
I voted Other since the awesome Sterling Gray color was somehow omitted from the choices
Mine: '13 Mustang GT Track Pk. 2.3L Whipple, 608 RWHP, 517 RWTQ.
Hers: '08 GT500 '13-'14 2.3L TVS & injectors, 656 RWHP, 661 RWTQ.
Relooking at the question I think that it's confusing. Because different year Mustangs look better in different colors. Red still looks unbelievable on all of them, but on Fox bodies Red (not maroon or burgundy) just doesn't pop the same. And I will say the new Kona Blue (or whatever it is today) is my favorite, but I don't think that it's my favorite for the early years.
So I guess that there are SO many answers to this question.
Growing older but not UP
My car now has a heater, and now has HEAT!!
Gray is black for people who aren't ready to make the full commitment....
Good point about the red. Although if you're talking factory color -- the red used in the late 80s-early 90s wasn't the bright red used before and after, it was more of a tomato-y red (had some orange in it that dulled the pure red.)
However, is there a generation that doesn't look good in black? Even the Mustang II's look good in black....
