I'll bet a bit of price difference too.

It seems to be a nice vehicle, but as a Mustang it's a Fauxstang.

People love them, it's just not for me. I have seen them at dealers on my visits and just the fact that its "not a Mustang" just makes it wrong. Funny thing, if it was called anything but a Mustang, I might like it. HaHa
Agreed, should have used another name. Just not Pinto either. lol
I think even Maverick name coming back, in trucks??

While not a historical Ford model name, if they like horse names, maybe they should have called it Percheron.
"Percherons are well muscled, and known for their intelligence and willingness to work."

Well the next name to perhaps make a comeback is the Maverick:

Had some service done on my escape. Got to see one at the dealer even sat in it. Must say it's pretty cool. The price on it was 57k there are a couple of model upgrades. It's price is between
the Mustang and the Explorer. Inside it about the size of the Ford edge also saw the Bronco nice also.
