    New F150

With a need to get a truck that will tow a car and a hauler, we decided on a new Aluminum F150 Supercab, 5.0 motor, in Lithium Grey color. My wifes Escape lease was due to turned in so she is the one who really wanted a truck to drive. She feels safe being up so high since she cruises down rte 93 for work. And to answer your question, yes I did spend 6 hours detailing it before it left the garage ! Clay bar, 1 step paint correction, coat of sealant, coat of glaze and a coat of wax. I still have my 2002 F150 as well, have not decided when I am going to sell it but don't think I need two pickups. Here are some pics, and no I am not going to help you move any furniture !! LOL !!IMG_2956.JPGIMG_2957.JPGIMG_2955.JPGIMG_2959.JPGIMG_2958.JPG2002 F150 12-1-15 003.jpg2002 F150 12-1-15 001.jpg2002 F150 12-1-15 005.jpg

Nice!! Diff color. I like. The 5.0 is the biggest they offer now? I tease Ed on his new one. When I asked him how much the new 2016 can tow, he said ~ 9K. Because the reason I got my '09 FX4 is it can tow ~ 11K. I needed bigger for my 20' enclosed trailer. I like how F150 comes in so many diff models now.
    Good luck with it..

^^ Thanks for the complements. Its a pretty cool color and different than the usual chrome package that is on most F150's.All color keyed outside, no chrome, grille, door handles, etc. The console shifter is nice, VERY roomy as well. Does not ride like a truck at all, and no rust, added bonus !!

Jimmy we both have/had '02. I still have hard time getting used to a pistol grip console shifter. Love it on mine. Lots of bells & whistles to get used to.

The console shifter makes the truck very "sporty" to me and the console is enormous in size since there is no seat there. Also has a feature in it that you can back a trailer up without your hands on the wheel and no fishtailing of the trailer !! Crazy. Technology marches on, unlike the 02 model

    Great looking truck, congrats!
I'm sure Ed's new truck could tow more if properly equipped for it, 3.5 Ecoboost, reg-cab, 2wd, tow package and all. But his truck is none of those, so the bigger cab and 4wd adds weight that takes away from towing ability.

What's the story on the '02?

Mine: '13 Mustang GT Track Pk. 2.3L Whipple, 608 RWHP, 517 RWTQ.
    Hers: '08 GT500 '13-'14 2.3L TVS & injectors, 656 RWHP, 661 RWTQ.

This will tow 9000 lbs which should be plenty enough for an aluminum trailer and a Mustang. Fords #s are conservative by about 7-10 % as well. Since its a 5.0 it sure does have potential for more horses if needed.^ Thanks, Story with the '02, have a couple people that want it, have not decided if I want to sell it. If so I'm going to get decent $ for it. Tons of new parts, great condition, and don't really need to sell it unless the moneys right.
