New Bronco in the works.. pleasepleaseplease

Ford Motor Co. is in discussions with the UAW about bringing the Ranger midsize pickup and Bronco SUV back to the U.S. market, according to a Bloomberg report and a person with knowledge of the talks.

That would be so awesome. I miss my 1988 Bronco so much.

To redo the Bronco -- take a small SUV, remove the 2 rear doors, put a removable top on it and give it some real off-road capability. Add some creature comforts and decent tech, then place it directly in the Jeep Wrangler market segment.

Make it cheap and capable. No one needs another $50,000+ SUV. As cool as it would be to put a removable top on the back of a Raptor and call it a Bronco (another idea I saw bandied about), that won't sell. Make a Ford "jeep" out the door for $30k

My favorite! Had a 78,82,and 94,great truck.Great reliability use to the 78 sking in the Rockies in Colorado every week never had a problem. They all had the 302 two were a stick the last was an Automatic. The 94 was a XLT Lariat Model The only up grade other than that was I wanted the biggest tires Ford offered. In 94 the price was right at 23K I would also like to see it at Thirty But that may be a stretch. As you well know those days are gone

Loved my last Ranger. Bring them back!!!

I had almost new F150 and a new Ranger about 10 years ago.
Had to get rid of one (My usual lack of space and too many vehicles).
    Kept the Ranger.
So much easier to park and better MPGs. It also hauled 90% of stuff I moved in the F150.

Had a Bronco back in the early 70's. Right front brake locked and it hit the bridge I was crossing at the time - HARD! Backed up and drove it away - that thing was a tank!

Kinda worried that if they were to make another Bronco it might be based on the Escape chassis, 4-cyl Ecoboost and all.

That would be a huge NO THANKS to anything like that.

It needs to be on a heavier-duty chassis than that ... it needs to be off-road-worthy ... small V8 would be nice, at least ...
