    2015 Upgrades Thread

So what's on your to-do list for your Mustang this year?

Here's my list. This is assuming I don't buy a older car with the proceeds from the Cobra. If I don't, I'm planning on taking some of that money and throwing it at the 90 GT. (and using the rest for other purposes.)

    Attach seats correctly (long story)
    Replace convertible top
    New Headlights
Upper/lower Intake manifold and throttle body
    *Seats Recovered?
    Repaint?

*Long term plan is to change the the white leather interior pieces to light grey. Changing the white/blue two-tone interior to grey-blue. Then probably changing some interior trim to exterior body color (dark blue) to tie everything together.

I need to flush brake fluid & coolant, been ~ 10 yrs since car finished. I always grease front end and control arms in spring along with oil change after 1st short drive.

I got my fuel lines, etc. replaced over the winter (though there is still a leak to take care of - when will there not be) and have made a few cosmetic changes to the car. Also replaced the HIDs with LED headlight bulbs. Next is a new convertible top, but that may wait until next winter. Wanted to repaint the calipers, but that may also wait until next winter.

So far in 2015 my car has already received:

    - Roush lower grille delete kit
    - upsized rear rotors (the 14" rotors same as '13-'14 GT500's)
    - new rear brake pads (Hawk HPS)
    - 2 Billet Technology oil catch cans
    - 19" front / 20" rear AMR wheels in charcoal gray
    - 275/40/19 front Hankook tires
    - 305/35/20 Nitto NT555R rear tires

On the future-mods list for 2015, I have:

    - Replace upper grille (warranty replacement through American Muscle)
    - Powdercoat new grille
    - New hood
    - New front bumper cover, possibly a GT500 unit
    - Boost-a-pump
    - Larger throttle body
    - New tune, by Pete this time

    Win-the-lottery list:
    - forged shortblock
    - T56 transmission
    - switch from my 2.3 to a 2.9L Whipple
    - fully upgraded fuel system

Now I just need to win the lottery, lol

Curious gabe....why do you want to upgrade to 2.9? At your power level you aren't even near the potential of that 2.3. Not sure if your next tune is to spin the crap out of that whipple, but that would be the direction I'd go in.

Spinning it to the moon adds heat and they lose efficiency.
    The Ford Racing Whipple for the 2015 is a 2.9 ... they're not even making a 2.3 for the '15+ 5.0
Plus, with a forged bottom-end, I'd be looking for 700-800 rwhp, and a 2.9 is gonna have a much easier time delivering that than a 2.3
