Didn't Chip Foose popularize that style of color scheme?
On most cars, I haven't liked it -- for instance it looks terrible on 99-04s -- but it works really well on the 05-09 Mustangs. That flatter panels with a strong beltline edge give the paint a defined horizontal body line to integrate with.

Agreed, Jim. It looks pretty awful on 94-98 cars, too. I cringe every time I see one.
