So it looks like our 6/14 50th Birthday Party in Hooksett will be competing with Skip's. Not gonna help our turnout any.

Skip's is every Sat, one I really only go to is the MEGA cruz mid July. And that one starts ~1pm, says 2 but cars line up earlier because it fills up. So think Hooksett would be safe date in June

Skips Mega cruise is not the same day as our 50th Anniversary cruise. It's one of Skip's normal cruises.

Yea the MEGA Cruz is the only one I don't wanna miss. All the others are mostly the same every weekend. Nice but.

Do you still have your car? You've been MIA all year so far...... And to think you have Fri - Sun off... Haha.

Are you still waiting for the FED EX truck with your parts from China?
Chump.

...and to think I have a job I like. AND because 7/4 is on a Fri my normal day off, they give us Thur, so now a 4 day weekend. How's your job?

Been busy helping Ed & my son.

I've driven my mine a couple times but now want to address a slightly noise couple lifters so valve covers off and will do this weekend. Am waiting for new set of "correct" plug wires from Mustangs Unlimited".

All this coming from a guy who couldn't drive his car this spring until after Carlisle because he didn't want a dead bug on his windshield. hmmmm. Wow a glass house.

Boys Boys if these sort of character attacks continue. This is the Event Section of the forum. And this needs to be taken to the Flaming Rotundra section of the forum. For continued discussion I don't want to see either of you get a demerit from the ADMINISTRATOR.

I know, I thought Kevin and I were drinking buddies.
I let him come to my house and everything.
Is it possible someday that a flaming thread is to hot for the flaming section?

Planning on making it to Skips Mega show with the Mach, camera in hand for Whips Wheels. Haven't been there for a while, but it was an excellent huge show the last time there...

only thing I am curious about is how they manage parking. For the regular shows this year they have been blocking off the last part of the field for spectator parking.......

I haven't gone in a few years. The last few times I went they'd pull 700-1000 cars on a nice day. The entire space behind the restaurant was all show cars and overflowed into the field to the right of the restaurant if necessary. Spectator parking was totally separate.
But that was a few years ago -- don't know how much has changed.

Jim, been several times and just as you said, behind restaurant and off to the side field. 720 was biggest count I've been at few yrs back. weather looking good.

they lost the parking lot next door when a new senior living complex went int and they have been blocking off the last 1/3 of the field for spectator parking this year. As a result, it can be a tough place to get into. I have seen them turn cars away at their regular cruise night events.

I guess they are trying to see if they can still use that lot even though its been cut in half.....time will tell.

I plan to get there early for sure.

I have a question is this a field that is passable or a dirt lot.I have never been there

Both a grassy field.

+1 to George...both are grassy lots.....well maintained. If you get there early enough you can even snag some shade towards north side of the field.

Well -- hopefully since this is the Mega Cruise and they have historically pulled huge numbers of cars, they'll do something more intelligent with the parking.
They used to have a field to the LEFT of the restaurant they used for spectator parking -- did they lose that too?

unsure, but I remember Tim saying he talked to the cruise directors and them mentioning losing "both" their parking area's

Here's a dumb question if they lost both places where do they put 700 plus car's

inflatable parking garage. It's cool, they come in the day before and blow it up and then you drive onto it. It's kind of like a bouncy house. Just hope there isn't wind like this past weekend or your all in trouble!!!

they didn't lose thier main spot for parking show cars....only thier peripheral spaces for spectator parking

Well a thought, one way for them to hold a show is cut back on type of cars and possibly cut back on the years allowed in. That won't make some folks happy but.... face it, one grassy field and a really nice day shaping up, they may make changes.
