Saw that too. I was wondering why the white or blue? I know the reason for the white, but the blue just seemed like a odd color. But I will say, I do LOVE that color on the stang!!!!!!

It was more odd because I don't recall that blue in '64, but the white was the first car.
Like i said, I LOVE that blue on the car.

And no Dennis, no Black, they wanted a historic color :p

Not sure what you're implying here, but the 1964 -1/2 cars DID come in black -- "Raven Black", color codes A / 9A

Here's Lee Iococca on April 13, 1964 in New York. (Before the "official" debut, I might add.) What's that in the picture with him?

Could be almost anything. It's a B/W picture! Could even be RED! :D

I was thinking the SAME thing!!!!
But I was more saying that Black is just not a very "memorable" color. Unlike Red, or blue. :D

Doesn't get more historic than black when it comes to Ford ... weren't all the Model A's or T's painted black because the paint would cure faster so they could produce them quicker?

I like the fact they are ONLY making 1964 of them. At least Ford (unlike Shelby ) understands the whole "limited edition" concept

6th paragraph of the article, "The 50 Year Limited Edition models will come in one of the two colors of Ford's logo: white or blue. Buyers can choose a manual or automatic transmission."

O, didn't notice the "colors of the logo" part. That makes more sense. I do under stand the white, wasn't that the "first" mustang color? And like I said, my favorite color right now for the new mustangs is that blue.
