I am a huge Jalopnik fan, I love their site. Saw this article earlier in the week and thought it was worth sharing

What other good car movies are out there worth watching?

I definitely plan on watching the Eric Bana story. I also need to see Le Mans, been on my list for a long time.

I'm sure you're talking street cars, but I thoroughly enjoyed "Rush"! (Formula 1)

Ronin (1998)-- A couple of really excellent car chases in a pretty good aging-spies-turned-mercenaries caper. A lot of people aren't aware of the movie (even though it got pretty decent reviews) and it's considered one of the best car chase movies in cinema history. Although it might be heresy to say so on this forum, it's car chases make the ones in Bullitt look like Driving Miss Daisy. The biggest chase -- a high-speed chase through the crowded streets of Paris is insane and used 300 stunt drivers in one scene.

Plus it's got Robert DeNiro, Jean Reno, Stellan Skarsgard, Natascha McElhone, and Sean Bean. It's one of my favorite movies.

Ronin is an excellent add to the list, I have seen that movie probably 20 times. That M5 and Audi S8 with nitrous is always fun to watch

How is it that no one has mentioned the Fast and Furious series?
While granted, it started out as a Import Tuner wet dream, and the 2nd and 3rd movies weren't very good, the last few entries in the series are representing all sorts of cool cars: Imports, Trucks, Detroit muscle and Exotics. And while they are still "car movies" at their core, they've moved beyond their "ricer" roots to being big-budget summer action flicks with fairly big name stars.

I made fun of the movies when FF1 and 2 came out, but since numbers 4 and 5 I'm solidly a fan.
