Received this today in my monthly Hagerty car insurance email.
Use any? My car sits in my enclosed car trailer. Nothing but air gets in.

Fox Urine powder. Had some mice when I first got the house, never seen them since. Put the powder in a cup and through it under the car for the winter. I also put some in the rafters of my garage that's near ground level. You can't smell it so it's better than moth balls.

I have not had a rodent issue with my current garage, but in the past I had success in keeping them away from a garaged car.

This is gonna sound gross, but it really isn't. Sprinkle some fox urine crystals (available at most hardware stores) in a ring around the car. It scares the hell out of rodents and they head for the hills. Just sweep them up in the spring. It's probably a less appealing solution if the area around your car gets wet in the winter, but in a dry garage you just sweep them out the door come spring. It really isn't smelly (unless you're a rodent) and it may keep cats away, too. Of course, if your car is outdoors under a cover this probably won't be a good solution.

OK, I see Todd had the same idea while I was typing...

7 years strong with the Nice scented Dryer sheets , car is stored in a temporary garage annually , just like the article # 1 solution stated, I too spread dyer sheets all over the inside of the car , all under the the hood, on the tires, in the rim area of the wheels ,in the trunk , basically anywhere I can put them without worrying about them blowing away !! Not a fan of the car smelling like mothballs.. grew up with that from our camper and I cringe every time I smell them as an adult! :-)'

Knock on wood , not one sign of a rodent yet.!! they hate the sweet smell of the dryer sheets .

I have also heard you can shave off slivers of Irish Spring or Zest soap , they have a strong scents that they dont like as well too !

I have been using Bounce dryer sheets in my sheds, cars, boat (when I had one) and in my attic for years. Has been working great. I use alot of them, 2 in the interior, 1 in the trunk and 1 under the hood as well as hanging some from the rafters. Don't be shy put lots of them in area to be protected.

I use the powdered fox urine also. I have one of the Quonset hut type canvas "garages" and the stuff works great. The "Shake Away (http://www.shake-away.com/)" brand seems to be most common in stores around here.
