Who was it, Ian asking for the "science" part.
This 2013 winter forecast put of today.

So does it come down to tons of cold & snow or very little?
My un-scientific guess is average based on forecast at both ends.

weather is all cyclical. Two years ago we had a dry, warm short winter, last year we got slammed and now this year it might be a warm one.......

I can tell you that I am certainly hoping for a warm winter with little snow, need to save a few $$ on heat this year so I can stock up some parts for the spring. Saleen is in need of some attention when it comes back out next spring ..
