A Stanley Steamer made an appearance a Dyno day yesterday afternoon. I was lucky enough to take a little cruise up to Lake Winni then come back to see it. Rick got a little ride in it and said that it did a power side out of the parking lot on to the street:

Then they decided to see how much horse power it makes. It was interesting setting it up, steam going all over the place, but after some quick thinking and some gutter extensions to divert the water away from the dyno wheel it was able to get a few runs in:

So as you can see on the last pull 84 hp at about 55 mph. They tried one more, but he blew a boiler coil and had to rush it out of the dyno very quickly. The guy doing to pull thinks that it can get well over 100 with the right pressure but was unable to get teh boiler up to the temp he wanted.
