So, this is why George, Ed and myself were not in attendance at Monadnock Up In Smoke or the 6/1 cruise night. We had finally managed to coordinate between ourselves, the PFH car's temperament and the Calero family and we spent the day delivering the car to Queens Village, NY. Project Fallen Hero finally went home on Saturday, June 1, 2013.

We arrived late due to a horrific fatal accident in North Haven, CT that held up traffic for over an hour. When we arrived many family members were there and we all honored Jeff Calero and his sacrifice. Jeff’s niece Lauren took the car around the block (without plates!) and was obviously itching to drive it for longer. They are planning to register it Monday and I’m sure she will be driving it that day.

Ray has a wonderful family and we all had an amazing late lunch together in Ray’s home. There were a few tears shed when the car cover came out with the embroidered inscription, but they were good tears. I will be putting more pictures on the PFH web site in the next few days, but I’ve also included some here. It was a long road to get all of of the details sorted out on the car, But its home now, where it belongs – and that’s a good thing!

That's awsome guys!! I can't believe that the "summer project" has been delievered. I know last year at ED day Ray was so grateful for all you guys that have put SO much effort and time (and occational blood) into this project.
You guys will never be thanked enough by that family and those that know what you have done.
Hats off to you guys and now everyone involved can take a nap for a couple weekends!
