I would be in for the "cruising" piece of this day. I have adopted a "NO" car show theme for this year, but a ride over Temple mtn would be nice. Once there I can peel off the group and head back home or elsewhere.

Just get the Swiffer going and commit to this cruise. Sounds like a blast.

Thanks. I'm all set now. It was really never an issue. I guess the new tune I have, I cannot unplug the battery in the winter, which is what I've done the past 3 years. I guess the old tune I had was different in that I could plug the battery in, drive the short drive to Protree and it would pass inspection and emissions.

Im not sure why my NEW tune would require me NOT to unplug the battery and have to take 7-800 miles to be ready for the test. I won't have that mileage until about end of July.
Oh well... Just something else I need to get used to.

Perhaps somewhere in Nashua area would be better as we need to go out via 101 to Keene.
We can meet at the Target in Nashua across from Best Ford then head West.

Do we really want to deal with 101 in west Nashua and Merrimack on a Saturday AM and all the traffic lights? I would meet somewhere around Exit 1 of Rt. 3 and go out through Hollis/Brookline on back roads to Milford, then take the bypass around Milford. I did that as my commute for many years, so I could lead that if no one else knows those roads.

I'd suggest the park and ride just West of Exit 5 off the Everett Tpke., near the Nashua Police Station. Then it's a straight shot to Hollis / Milford.

OK, lots of different opinions on where to meet up, probably because we are all coming from different places. My suggestion -- there is a McDonalds as you are driving into Peterborough, I believe the address is 85 Peterborough Street. Why don't we meet up there at 9:30?? How we all get to that point is up to each of us.

For those us in Derry/Londonderry/Manchester area, we can meet at the Exit 4 Burger King in Londonderry, leave there at 8;45 and drive over 101, and meet the rest of group at McDonalds in Peterborough at 9:30.

For those in southern NH and MA, you can meet up in Nashua and drive over by another route to Peterborough.

Is this OK with everyone??

Randy, There is no MacDonalds in Peterborough, the one you mention is in Jaffrey on Rt 202. This is your parade but possibly the VIP / Market Basket Plaza at the western jct of 101 and 101A in Milford might work.

As long as they have BBQ available to eat both days, I don't care. But if the BBQ is only available on Sunday I may bail on Saturday. Unfortunately bacon is so far off my diet I can't even find it on radar. :(

Bob C is correct; the MacDonalds I thought was in Peterborough is actually in Jaffrey; no sense in going there. We can discuss this at cruise night tomorrow night and pick a place for all to meet somewhere between Peterborough and Keene, then everyone can get to that meeting point by whatever route they want to take...

Am I Missing the whole point of going to this I thought we would "ALL" and I stress "ALL"meet up and we would "ALL" cruise to there together I thought That was part of the fun of going "ALL" Together as a group. This Meeting up here and there takes all the fun out of it Pick one and I mean one location and we "ALL" Meet there at a specfic time

ToplessPony94

I don't see any problem if some want to meet east of Nashua and then join some that meet west of Nashua. Many don't really want to drive east to go west, and that's fine with me. Meeting between Peterborough and Keene does sound too far west for any real cruising together to me. I think Bob C's suggestion of meeting near the Nashua police station was the best one I've heard for all concerned. If others want to meet at the exit 4 BK and drive to the other meet together that sounds like a good plan to me.

Why don't people meet at either of those two spots at 9:00, then both groups and any any individual drivers meet at the Peterborough Shopping Plaza at 10:00. The plaza in Peterborough is just before lights where 101 meets 202. Does this work for everyone????

For those that want to meet in Nashua, we will meet at the parking lot near the Nashua Police Dept. It is West of the Exit 5 interchange on the Everett Tpke. After crossing the Turnpike on Rte 111, ( West Hollis St. ) travel approx 1/4 mile to the next traffic light, turn right onto Riverside Drive, then take first left and immediate right into parking lot. You will be in front of the Conway Ice Arena.
Meet for a 9 am departure to Peterboro.

REMINDER -- the Monadnock Up In Smoke Barbeque and Car Show is next Saturday June 1st at the Cheshire Fairgrounds in Keene. There are two meeting spots for those who want to drive over as a group - one spot in Nashua, the other at the Exit 4 Burger King on 93. Both groups, and anyone else who wants to drive in together will then meet up in Peterborough to drive the rest of the way together. Times and specifics to be posted later. Extended forecast looks good -- sunny and temps in the low 90s. Cruise Night to follow in Hooksett...

OK, so here are the specifics:

Group 1 -- meeting at the Exit 4 Burger King on 93, departure time from there is 9:00; I will lead this group.
Group 2 -- meeting at the parking lot near the Nashua Police Dept. Departure time from there is 9:00. Bob Comire will lead this group.
Everyone will meet up at Peterborough Shopping Plaza (where 101 meets 102) and we will leave there at 10:15 to drive to Keene.

Don't forget that cruise night follows in Hooksett; I will be leaving Keene by 3:00 to go set up for cruise night.

Any questions, post them here on the forum or call me on my cell phone at 603-216-7861. Several members said they wanted some new events, so here is a new one. Let's have a GREAT turnout...
