I went to the shop for my weekly poke in the ribs and the painter showed me some parts that were painted Grabber Green again, fenders, trunklid and a couple more. The big thud you might have mistaken for a small earthquake was me hitting the floor. I'm not sure when it will be on the road as I have a lot of assembly to go, but it is a start...

It's been a long time coming. I can't wait to see it back to its usual amazing self. (now, new and improved!)
I can't even imagine what it's been like having to wait this long to drive it again.

Also, I believe you were involved in the past with trying to get some Mustang guys to go up to the VA hospital in the Tilton area as they had some sort of cruise night that they put on for the patients there. Last years was cancelled due to construction at the site.
Do you have any idea if they will be doing this cruise night this year? I would love to go to show my appreciation to these folks. Thanks.

Hey Kevin, I have not got a date on the Veterans show but will keep you posted. It is a very special one for sure. Rather than let all of my car magazines pile up, I dontate them to the home and am told they are well used.
The painter has had our car for almost 3 years which seems like a long time except for the fact that Sylvia bought it in 1977, her first car for $1800.00. If I could only get our 401K to do that well. I'm hoping to get some photos soon and will post them. Thanks for the interst in our lil rod....

Absolutely, but its great to be at a point that I CAN put some elbow greast into it after the painter is done. I am really happy with his work, well worth the wait....

A quality paint job gets done when you do have ALL parts painted off car. You'll have NO sharp edges that might crack later. You should be proud & takes a lot of patiences but worth it. Take your time with re-assembly. good Luck.

The show at the NH Veteran's home in Tilton NH will be on thursday Aug 8. Hope anybody that has the spare time can make it. It is THE most special show to attend.

It's registered, but not spected, I don't wanna take it out until it's complete. Also gotta take it to AAMCO for the annual tranny check that's been on hold for 3 years. In 1978 sylvia took the transmission out with a good placed neutral drop, since then the AAMCO with a lifetime warranty has worked flawlessly.

Judging by the number of views, it seems like a bunch of you have been interested in the progress of our car. I'm proud to say it is mostly done (are they ever?) and here are a couple shots taken last afternoon. I thank you all for the words of encouragment along the way. It is sooooo nice to have it back to cruize around in, boy did I ever miss the lumpy ole cleveland. I was thrilled to get the coveted best paint mug at the Sunapee Show.
