I've owned of the countries "Best selling vehicle (car or truck" for several years, F150.

Several car magazines i.e JD Powell rating, not much good to say about Dodge (owned By Fiat)for reliability, gas pigs, ride comfort.

What they've said for years.

Well, my current work van, Dodge Caravan, is better than my last two personal vans I've owned.
Ford Windstar and Toyota Sienna.

How have they won the truck of the year award if they suck so bad?

Me & thousands of other consumer's are "OK" with "weak case" if all that matters is being number ONE in sales year after year, oh after year.... yawn... It's what pays the bills.
New ownwers of Dodge had to come from overseas, no one wanted them from US

Well, I'll agree that Fords Marketing team is better than Dodges..... doesn't negate the fact that Dodge won truck of the year two years in a row....

Keep drinking the Ford Koolaid buddy.....

For ANY car or truck to be considered for "vehicle of the year", there are rules and considerations.
Take trucks, IIRC each must have made certain major changes to designs to qualify.
So if Ford, Gm, GMC etc, don't do a major design change, then they're NOT on the list to be considered.
I don't know who's been on "that list " for past couple years with Dodge. Was it a Honda Ridgeline, other plus others???
If Ford & say GM are doing well with current designs, then no change. If Dodge design old, sales not great, then they make changes
