Are Forums making a comeback?

With all the negative reactions to FB and Twitter banning people for what they say, will these actions push people back to forums which are smaller and more open to free speech?

Those media forums are privately held, so with their rules public, shouldn't be any surprises to people who can't/don't follow the rules
