I rode out 2008 with just a few minor adjustments to investments and came out fine. Planning to do the same this time. Of course, I do have fingers crossed!

Another drop today, Friday.

Price of gas and heating oil cheaper.
I fear economy delayed impact, recession....

With First US death from the virus yesterday, I can only imagine what's going to happen tomorrow when the markets open.
Strap in!

Second today. But Asian markets seem to be starting a bit of a recovery tonight. Wonder if it will hold in the US tomorrow morning.

The whole country is coming to a halt because of this. Schools are closing. Businesses are closing. Crazy, just absolutely crazy.

Top US infectious disease doctor doesn't rule out supporting temporary national lockdown

The top infectious disease expert in the US did not rule out support a temporary national lockdown in an effort to curb the spread of coronavirus.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, would like to see a "dramatic diminution of personal interaction," including interactions in bars and restaurants, according to an interview he did this morning on CNN's “State of the Union."

“I would like to see a dramatic diminution of the personal interaction that we see in restaurants and in bars. Whatever it takes to do that, that's what I'd like to see,” Fauci said.

The market was already expecting a ct.
So when it did, it showed a sign of panic by the market, so hence the drop.
They'll be up & down days for awhile.
Ford offering 90 zero payments on new buys.
I also read, Ford & others asked if they could build or help with getting equipment like respirators made.

Yeah, probably not many folks thinking about buying a car right now. Soon there may not be much of anywhere to go in one anyway. Don't know if car factories can build respirators, but great of them to offer. Heck, they built bombers during WWII!
