I'm having the BBK headers put on the Mustang next week at Dan's. I want to make sure it passes inspection after, there was mention about getting a tune done. I think they said Dyna Tune in Concord?

Look on this forum under events:
Posted on 4/17 by Toplesspony, club is heading to the dyno on 4/29.
If day is packed, they'll only have time for each person to make a couple of runs on dyno. But you can also call Pete to arrange an apt to have him tune it.

Pete does not due tuning at dyno days, only pulls. You'll need to call and make a seperate apt
Pete is the guy in new england, most of the modified cars you see around he's touched from a tuning perspective.

OK, it's Perfomance Dyno not Dyno Tune. Glad I asked. I wish I could make it on Dyno day, but, gotta work. Thanks

Had the headers put on, car sounds great, however, this morning check engine light came on. Called Dan at SN Undercar and left message. Has this happened to anyone else who had headers installed? Just curious.

From another forum I frequent:

On my 2006 with LTs there was a cheater module attached to fool the system.

I don't know if anyone is still using the Forum, but, for now I still am. I had the headers installed on my Mustang by Dan. BBK 1 3/4" ceramic coated long tube headers with catted X-Pipe. A few days later check engine light came on. Found out the codes were because of the high flow cats, cleared the codes, brought the car to Pete's to put a tune on it and get rid of the check engine light. Car ran great for 3 days then check engine light came on which showed code 0152, 02 Sensor circuit high voltage, bank 2. Anyway, has anyone put headers on their cars and had problems like this?

I'm gonna guess check engine light to be expected, Emission systems are very sensitive.
Pete could explain it.

It probably has to due with the fact the computer doesn't see O2 sensors and it automatically throws a code. Google MIL eliminators.

Had the headers put on, had tune done by pete and it's been a nightmare since. Car runs like crap keep going back and forth between pete and dan still can't seem to get it straightened out. Never again. Haven't been able to drive the car for the past 3 weeks. Kind of defeats the purpose. Was looking forward to going to cruise nights, now, i can't even drive it out of my driveway.

somethings not right, there are thousands of mustangs with long tube header's installed. Something isn't adding up.

I can't drive the car because cylinder 8 is misfiring. I'm about ready to take the headers off and go back to the factory set up. Does Pete do repairs or just tuning. Is there anyone locally that does both. I've called Dan and Josh said they were thinking of changing the 02 sensor which is fine by me but would have to look around and see what was available for 02 sensors?

Oh, I brought the car back to Pete's, and Josh said he pulled the plugs and the one's on one side were burned so he replaced the plugs but still have the problem.

Granite State Dyno & Tune in Hudson does tuning, mods and repairs. I've had nothing but good luck with them.

A cylinder misfire could be a bad coil pack
