Would You Pay $9,995 For This Dealer-Widened 1982 Ford Mustang GT?

Interesting. It hits all the right buttons of "early 80s tuner" (before the imports took that term over):
Sidepipes
Louvers
Fender Flares
More than one wing

Is it worth almost 10 grand? I think much depends whether you were in high school on the early 80s.... I bet Ken Morse wanted to do this to his.....

Here's the whole article -- the comments are pretty good too!

without a doubt, crack pipe. That car is hideous

I wouldn't touch that car with a 50ft pole

Ugly as sin. I wouldn't be caught dead owning this. Not worth 50 cents to me. Two thumbs down.

Actually, I will go against everyone here. I think it looks pretty cool as a one off fox. Looks pretty mean with a nice squat to the rear end....

Plus....I thought someone on here use to say the "Black was Fast"?

There an old saying Beauty Is In The eyes Of the Beholder. A lot of work went into that car and I too think its quite unique in its own way.I appreciate the workmanship it take to do something like that.Yes I said a time or two "BLACK IS FAST" and Also "BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL"27682769

I will give you that, Dennis. IMHO, there is a lot of talent and skill demonstrated here with not a drop of taste to go with it.

I've been holding off since I posted it originally -- but I'm going to go with Jibber on this. I think it looks "cool" and as a representative of an early 80s tuner, it is superb.
Would I do up a Mustang like that today? No. But "back in the day" I woulda thought that was cool hell.

Men and women don't dress like this anymore either.... but that doesn't mean the style was bad... just different.

Yes, the world would be a boring place if we all liked the same thing. All I can say, for my own taste and opinion, is that I didn't like it "back in the day" and I don't like it now. Which in no way implies that anyone else should feel the same way.

Same with my own car. I know many don't like the 94-98 cars. I do and I customize mine to match my own taste, which in no way implies anyone else should change their opinion.
