Very Rare. Is it worth the money for the collection?

I'd think if all your bills paid, and had a family room that needed something different, then maybe. Question is, "do you need it"? Not many folks watching it best I can tell.

Only if you have money to burn. I suspect it will be fun to play with for a week, fun to show off for a month or two then... soon to be followed by buyers remorse.

If you have an area of the house where you can happily display your collectibles, Go For it. I guarantee you that EVERYONE who sees it will think it's awesome

Those are super rare. They were made as special dealer promos -- and very rarely come up for sale. From what I've heard they are quite possibly the most accurate scale engine model ever made. A couple of people on SVTP have them.
If I had the money, I'd be all over it...

Sadly I agree with Bruce on this point to some extent.
The price is a bit rich IMHO.
Someone has listed on EBay the same version of this engine except it's for the 99 cobra. They have that one with a starting bid of 450 bucks.
I could see dropping 6-700 bucks for the 03-04 model but not 1200+.
I will put in a best offer bid and see what happens.

Those model's are SUPER rare and don't come up for sale very often, it's worth it.

I actually went up the street to our dealership and rummaged through the promo room and found one, never opened or displayed. I'll call you later tonight if you really want it. I have piles of dealership stuff

We all change.... Not for sale anymore.....or is it? Isn't everything for sale?
Even though these are super rare, like anything else, it needs to be gotten at the right price.... More will pop up for sale in the future and hopefully kids will be out of college.... then there would be no hesitation.

Only a select few, who bribe me with iced coffees, are allowed into the secret and hidden room stuffed with promo items that sales people just don't appreciate.

I am trying to secure the 2013 GT500 engine, similar to the one Jibber posted. Maybe the Tenth Anniversary of ED DAY will have some special raffle prizes

I'd say go for it. Although it looks like a lot of people are watching it which could drive up the price past being worth it.

I did put in an offer for this.... Of course it was not the "Buy it Now" price..... I felt my offer was strong and I was comfortable with it. Needless to say the seller thought otherwise and declined my offer. It certainly is not the end of the world for me, haha.
